PHeaSt is tomorrow and we couldn’t be more excited! With considerable media coverage and healthy ticket sales, this one-of-a-kind, farm-to-table dining event is proving to be the place to be on Friday, October 19 from 7 to 10 pm. The PHS warehouse at the Philadelphia Navy Yard has been transformed into a rustic party venue, where we invite you to join us in your comfortably chic and casual fall attire to sample dishes from more than 20 area restaurants. All proceeds from the event will support PHS’s City Harvest program. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or ordered online by clicking here. For directions to the Navy Yard, click here.
We’ve highlighted the PHeaSt participants the past few weeks; here are a few more:
Atiya Ola’s Spirit First Food
The goal at this Baltimore Avenue eatery is to provide nutritious and delicious raw food, while educating the local community about eating less processed foods. “Keeping it simple and good is the way we like it,” said Atiya in a recent blog post. Their menu includes fresh plantain milk, strawberry moss, slaws, salads, sprouted beans, and mixed veggies. For dessert they offer raw vegan apple and sweet potato pie and chocolate souffle. Spirit First Foods also caters to vegetarians and vegans with additional items on the menu that are cooked.
Spirits for PHeaSt will be provided by Blue Moon Brewing Company, Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey, Earth Bread + Brewery, Thorny Rose Wines, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
Metropolitan Bakery and Thyme Catering will fill the center of our harvest table (recently retired from the PHS Pop Up Garden!) with hors d’oeuvres, and desserts will be provided by Belle Cakery, Plenty, and Night Kitchen Bakery.
