The PHS Fall Garden Festival featured a friendly competition of “Garden Giants,” larger-than-life veggies and “Garden Bounty,” lush floral and vegetable arrangements celebrating the bounty of the harvest. Festival goers were delighted by the creative use of materials in the designs, and the dedication of those who nurtured their crops to above-average size. For a complete list of winners, click here.
Also highlighted at the 2012 Fall Garden Festival were the City Gardens Contest winners. From skillfully planted containers to workplace vegetable gardens to extra-special private garden sanctuaries—the City Gardens Contest brings out the best of the best in Philadelphia area green thumbs. Winners were acknowledged on stage by PHS President Drew Becher, and received a certificate. A complete list of the winners will be available mid-October.
As if that weren’t enough, the PHS Membership team awarded a $100 gift card to one lucky person who joined PHS the day of the Festival. Congrats to Jolee Greenberg!
