Depressed that summer has come to end? Understandable. But fall is full of fun too! Shift your thinking from beaches and sun-block to pumpkins, cider, mums, hay rides, and scarves. See, that’s not so bad?
PHS has lots of autumn offerings. The Pop Up Garden is only getting more beautiful as the plants come into their own, you can see it yourself at a happy hour fundraiser on September 13. Click here for details.
Meadowbrook Farm will have its sensational Fall Open House on October 6, and PHS is introducing something new with PHeaSt (pronounced feast) on October 19.
Of course the granddaddy of them all is the Fall Garden Festival on Saturday, September 22. This year we’ll be joined by Chef Carla Hall and Daphne Oz of ABC’s “The Chew.” Details here.
Beyond PHS, the region’s gardens, arboretums, and cultural centers present all sorts of activities for both grown-up gardeners and future green thumbs.
