PHS and Longwood Gardens are proud to present “Inspiring Floral Artistry–A Hallmark of Spectacular Design,” October 3 – 5, 2012, with special guest, Damien Koh. An internationally acclaimed and sought-after floral artist, Koh is a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers and Professional Floral Communicators International. He also owns Fleur Connection, a design studio in Singapore. During his visit to Longwood, Koh will conduct workshops for beginner to professional floral designers.
On Wednesday, October 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Koh will present “Inspired by a New Perspective” for all skill levels, to be followed by a raffle of several of his designs and a dessert reception. On Thursday, October 4, he will present two workshops for beginner to intermediate arrangers: “Get Wired!” (creating designs using various wiring techniques) from 9 am to noon, and “Structured Freedom” (creating a floral structure) from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
On Friday, October 5, his workshops for experienced and professional designers include “Textural Takes” (designs with an emphasis on texture) from 9 am to noon, and “Picture Perfect” (creating a floral collage) from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Lunch will be available for all attendees in the Terrace restaurant both Thursday and Friday.
