PHS is committed to making you the best gardener you can be! As such, Janet Evans, the librarian at the McLean Library, carefully cultivates subject guides on a variety of topics. Subject guides include book titles, videos, links, and resources. Some favorite topics are container gardening, vegetable gardening, and gardening with children.

Now Janet is happy to present Gardening for Small Spaces. This subject guide is useful for finding information about the joys and challenges of city gardening. Books about small trees and shrubs, clematis for small spaces, miniature daffodils and tiny hostas will help the beginner and experienced gardener make the right plant choices for small spaces. There are videos too, like the one below.
